Kindergarten

Maridahdi Kindergarten is a sessional kindergarten (runs during school terms) on a five day fortnight (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Monday, Tuesday.) Our kindergarten operates from 8.45am-3pm.

Our kindergarten is providing free kindergarten as part of the Queensland Government’s Free Kindy initiative.

Our kindergarten program is informed by the Early Years Learning Framework and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline and involves a play-based and child-led approach.

Our Educators create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and risk-taking. This includes providing access to open-ended materials, diverse play spaces, and opportunities for both independent and collaborative play.

Primary

Our Primary School caters to students from Prep through to Year 6. Maridahdi is an accredited, independent school, delivering the Australian Curriculum.

Maridahdi teachers are supported by a Head of Curriculum and Head of Inclusion Support. Along with the Principal, these three positions create the Leadership Team, to ensure that every child is understood as an individual and supported in their learning journey.

We create a learning environment free from external rewards and punishments, instead cultivating confidence by nurturing the natural curiosity and intrinsic motivation of children.

Regular excursions, incursions, and walking excursions to the local parks by our school students in our area support learning, sense of community and connection.

Maridahdi acknowledges and pays respect to the Jagera, Giabal and Jarowair people as the traditional custodians of the land in which we learn, play and gather together. We pay respect to Elders past and present and extend our respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples present today.
