Maridahdi Early Childhood Community School, Toowoomba

Maridahdi delivers the Australian Curriculum through a rich, engaging, collaborative and differentiated approach that considers the developmental readiness, personal interests, and unique creative expression of each individual child.

Maridahdi students are invited to take the time to question deeply, connect thoughts and ideas, explore ways to express their thinking and develop a strong understanding of who they are as a learner.

Maridahdi believes that an early focus on understanding of self supports children to prepare to navigate life beyond the school grounds. It is through mimicking life that children develop the skills to self-organise and exercise agency within a community.

Maridahdi is a vibrant and dynamic learning community, where no two days look the same. You will be joining a team of passionate and committed educators in a teaching team, with a full-time aide as a support in your classroom. Our combined multi-age classrooms are small and supportive of meeting the individual learning journey of each of our students.

If you’re interested in advocating for children in an innovative and progressive educational community, we invite you to apply for the following position:

  • Permanent part-time teacher - 2-day or 4-day/week position available - start date Wednesday 17 January 2024.  A 2-day position role is available in either the Year 1/2 classroom or Year 3/4 classroom, or the 4-day position would take on both roles.

Prior experience and an early childhood background are useful but not essential – we’re looking for people who can think about children and education differently.  As such, graduates are also invited to apply.  To commence 17 January 2024.  Salary dependent on qualifications and experience of candidate.  You must be registered or be able to be registered with the Queensland College of Teachers in order to apply for this position.
